- - Direct awards with no Justification and Authorization required for DoD contracts up to $100M DFARS 219.808-1(a) and $4.5M outside of DoD
  - Exempt from competitive thresholds
  - Direct negotiation with the Government (13CFR124.503(c))
  - Awards cannot be protested (13CFR124.517(a))
  - Always considered a Small Economically and Socially Disadvantaged Businesses
