Ailian Hawaiin Logo

Ailani Hawaiian, founded in 2015 by descendants of the Native Hawaiian Keliipio ‘ohana, caretakers of Mokuola Island (Coconut Island) in Hilo Bay, chose the shark logo to honor their rich ‘ohana heritage and cultural values. The shark, or mano, symbolizes strength, protection, and guidance. By incorporating this powerful symbol, Ailani Hawaiian reflects the legacy of their ancestors, who revered the shark as a guardian spirit, or ‘aumākua. This logo not only represents the brand’s commitment to these traditional values but also underscores their dedication to leadership and environmental stewardship, much like the protective nature of the shark.
